Modern cartridge filters are made of a special fabric, which have millions of tiny passages. The dirt is caught in these passages and is so retained. If the hot tub is carelessly cleaned, the bacteria will entrench themselves in the lining and form a biofilm that protects them. Additional fats, oils and dander are the food source for the bacteria. Then the filter becomes a water pollutant. Contaminated filters cause the filter pump to use more power, in turn shortening its life span.

For these reasons, it is important to thoroughly clean the filter regularly: SpaBalancer Instant Filter Clean dissolves organic dirt, grease and oil out of the filter lining.

SpaBalancer Instant Filter Clean was designed for quick cleaning of the filter.

Usage:

Shake the bottle well before use.
Spray the filter thoroughly with SpaBalancer Instant Filter Clean. We have dyed the filter cleaner with a blue food dye so that you can see whether you have sprayed the filter evenly. Allow the filter cleaner to work for about 15 minutes. Then rinse the filter thoroughly with water.

For regular filter cleaning use SpaBalancer Filter Clean.
